Why I'm building Nostos
Hi. Nostos is made by one person: me. No team, no investors, no ad budget. I design it, build it and test it myself.
I've started more habits than I can count and dropped most of them after one bad week. The apps didn't help. Miss a day and you get a red streak and a guilt trip. So I'm building the one I wanted: small goals, a tiger who waits for you instead of judging you, and a story worth coming back to.
The big habit apps have hundreds of people behind them. This one has me, and, if you join, you. I read every bug report and every message. If you've ever quit a habit and felt bad about it, you're exactly who this is for.

Questions, answered plainly
Do you sell my data or show ads?
No. No ad networks, no tracking SDKs, and your data is never sold or used for marketing. Nostos only reads the metric your goal tracks and never writes to Apple Health. You can delete your account and all your data yourself, from Settings in the app.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing bad. Tigur and the story wait, and you pick up where you left off.
What is TestFlight? Is it free?
TestFlight is Apple's free app for trying apps before they reach the App Store. Tap Join the iPhone beta, then Accept and Install in TestFlight, and Nostos installs like any other app. No form, no waiting.
Who can join the beta?
Adults (18+) in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and India, on an iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Spots are limited.
What do testers have to do?
Use it for 3 days and tell us one thing that's broken (Settings → Send feedback in the app). A screenshot helps. Anything more is a bonus.
Does my voice diary leave my phone?
Tell Tigur about your day. Your recording never leaves your iPhone.
What else is in the latest build?
Home Screen widgets, so you can tick a habit without opening the app. Live weather in Tigur's world, matching the sky outside (optional; your approximate location is only shared with Apple Weather). And a stripes trend for the last 7 or 30 days.
